The 'Fish' is a great addition to any quiver. Fishes turn a 'lack-of-lustre' small wave day into a high speed energy charge session.

Our love affair with the Fish goes way back into the early 70's. At this time the curiously short, wide split-tailed boards were weapons of choice by some of the most interesting surfers of the day. Images of David Nuuiwha, Carl Haywood, Clyde Beatty Jnr and Mike Tabling ripping on their Fishes made a lasting impression and seemed to relate perfectly to the waves we were riding. The Fish dominated our production throughout the 70's and into the early 80's.

We also used the wide base keel-style fins (below) on the first longboards as well as our contemporary short board designs.
Eventually the popularisation of the thruster displaced it as the fin setup of choice. Over the years we have revisited the original Fish design many times and today it's a personal favourite as well as an on-going part of our production, research and development.

In addition to the original 70's style Fish design, we have developed a modern style thruster Fish to compliment our range of high performance short board designs. See our Modern Fishes on our Shortboard Page
